Working within the Workplace
Most of us have busy lifestyles and sometimes it can be difficult to
get the right balance between work and personal life. This can lead to
feeling over-tired, stressed and our ability to think clearly may be affected.
To compensate some people eat too little or eat the wrong foods perhaps
causing bloating and further lethargy, which means people have less energy
for work and their personal time.
At Carefree Eating we help people to regain the balance. We provide
an integrated approach for diet and lifestyle management because we understand
the pressures. This is a professional service for professional people.
We can provide a service for individuals or groups in the workplace, so
that individuals feel good which means a better working environment.

Residential and Nursing homes
Dietary requirements are so individual that it can be challenging to
meet the needs of everyone, especially when you are catering on a larger
scale.
With increasing age it can de difficult to meet nutritional requirements
for the following reasons:-
- medical condition
- physical changes due to the ageing process
- lack of motivation
- altered appetites
- ability to eat e.g. poor dentition, stroke, unable to hold
fork due to arthritis
The National Minimum Standards for Care Homes (June 2003) includes 8
standards relating to meals and mealtimes. We can provide support in the
following areas to help you achieve these standards
- Menu planning and design so that you can ensure variety
and meet the nutritional needs of all your residents.
- Training and support for staff on a variety of topics including
meeting dietary needs for different conditions (e.g. diabetes),
coping with low moods, managing overweight or underweight clients.
- Patient specific advice as required.
